Great breakfast

I don't know what the other review is talking about. This is the best breakfast on the island. It's reasonably priced and the menu has a lot of options. We go to Plantation Cafe at least once every time we go to HHI. They have the best fried green tomatoes and their pancakes are awesome. During peak seasons, you will have to wait for a table. Be prepared. However, it's worth the wait.

Good food, terrible service

This is my first time writing a review...When you first walk into Plantation you may notice that the waitresses are the host which was the first problem. We were sat at a table and then thrown our menus. I wanted eggs benedict with just a fried egg white (how hard is that right??). Wrong.... Our waitress argued with me about how it was impossible. Forgive me for not liking the yolk. So I ordered french toast instead and she laughed at this. When she bought the food it was amazing. My french toast had added cinnamon on top and my bacon was perfect. But as I was finishing, I noticed another woman had a problem with her waitress and asked our waitress to see the manager. She told the woman she was off. Well I guess the woman wrote a note to her waitress why she wasn't leaving her tip and the waitress starting laughing and telling all the other waitresses about the note in front of all the customers, loud and clear!!

So if you're looking for great breakfast at a reasonable price, Plantation is wonderful. But beware, your server just might let everyone in the restaurant know how well of a tipper you are after you leave.
